Hi guys and girls,
I'm James and I've finally got serious about preparing for that time when things go bad. I'm not sure exactly what will happen, but I want to be able to care for and protect my two little boys and long suffering partner (who thinks I'm bonkers!). I'm pretty good with my hands and can make most things and I fix jet engines for a living so I've got access to lots of clever machines and equipment, tools etc.
At the moment my preps are very limited, I'm sort of at that hunter gatherer stage, but I have extensive survival training and I'm a pretty good woodsman. I'm not a bad shot and can confidently handle most weapons should the need arise. But my ultimate aim is to be able to bug out and be self sustainable for an extended period of time.
I'm seriously considering starting my own online survival supplies and training business to help others gain some of the skills that I have acquired over the years. (but this is for a couple of years down the line).
I'm looking forward to being part of a community of like minded people and hopefully being able to pick up new skills as well as try to pass on my own.
hi everybody
