Soylent

Post by Padds »

Came across this article today about a supposed "complete" food supplement that the Yanks seem to be going nuts for call 'Soylent'.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/06/14 ... xperiment/

Not sure I'd want to eat nothing but that every day, but its powdered so if stored right it might make a good prepper's food.

The jury's definitely out at the minute but might be one to watch...

A wind up? Apparently not, people are actually consuming it! Personally I'll leave it up to others to do the testing as it does seem to fit the bill of snake oil.

Ever the optimist though I'll keep an eye on it all the same.

(Can a prepper be an optimist? Discuss...)

That makes me lean toward it being a sales gimmick , nobody could be stupid enough to name their food substitute after a fictional food substitute made of ****************Spoilers************** scroll down :D
