His dad is my youngest, who wanted to be a falconer from the age of 7. He was with the Scottish Academy of Falconry for years and he knows his stuff, has flown everything up to a golden eagle. Now he just keeps a Harris and some ferrets. But they can hunt and very well too  Not grandsons though. They don't do much really.

Simply "being" is enough for grandsons  (v Buddhist an'all that  ) he's very sweet.

omg, the other photo! Fantastic! There was an end of the holidays falconry display outside my house at the end of August, its on a rec. ground, but to see a bird like that in its natural habitat, doing what comes naturally, thats just wonderful. I'm really glad you managed to get the photo!

Son took it. He gets a fair number of rabbits and some ducks too. When you see the terrain up here you realise it isn't easy or feasible to bug out eh
