I've been having a bit of a campaign on getting free kindle books recently, as I'll be taking the kindle home for Christmas, not the laptop, and I've noticed that quite a few of the "free" items are actually apps, not books - i.e. there'll be costs once you've bought them. Check it out ...

I'm a great fan of free books on kindle in fact most of the books I have on my kindle are the free ones
they can be a bit restrictive, but it has meant that I have read books that I would never have read if I was buying them.
