Prepping error...

Post by Malthouse »

I just let go of an immaculate Singer sewing machine, the sort with the handle so it was completely self contained even down to having a place for the little oil can. No idea what I was thinking of, it would be ideal for so many eventualities. :(

Oops.

I was wondering if a handheld (though battery powered) sewing machine would be useful, less carry more practicable, but a quick online search shows them to be pretty useless for anything other than what you can do quicker by hand? How about making a kinetic power supply for an electric sewing machine? Just an idea ;o)

I had a 1908 Singer treadle sewing machine. was great and would great great for a shtf no electric scenario... gutted i never had the prepper mentality earlier when i think of the stuff ive wasted and thrown away.

its not the way it should be, but it is the way that it is.

well Malthouse, a lesson learnt. Given your current mindset and prepping. Why did you let it go?

Mainly I needed the money

But I had failed to appreciate that it was immaculate and in full working order, took it for granted really. It was only when I was pointing out all the features and neatness of it all to the guy buying it that I though "hang on", but it was too late!

I'll share this with you
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
OK, you messed up and you're now beating yourself over the head with it.

You can stop now, we've all done something like (some of us more then once  )

I hope you got a good price for it though.
