Backpack

Post by taylor94 »

Hey guys im looking to get a decent back pack or B.O.B.

I have looked around, ebay, amazon etc but can't find anything to suit me.

I am looking for something that will do an over nighter. Be able to carry a sleeping bag or bivi bag, small tent, among my other equipment. First aid, food, basic tools, extra clothing, stove etc etc.

The one I have been using for a little practice is a 35L Camo backpack. It does it's job well but not big enough to last for a night. With my gear in it already no room for the tent or bag.

I am looking for a camo backpack. I like my Woodland camo and prefer to have it for blending into the forest.

I am looking for something not hundreds of pounds but something reasonably priced, practical and with decent room for gear.

If anyone knows of any good deals going I would appreciate it. :)

Once you have 10 posts in the open Forum, you should be able to PM.

My go to surplus seller, but if i were you have a look at what you might like then look on ebay for second hand, i got both my full size bergens for under £20.

I am surprised that a 35l pack is not good enough for an over nighter?

Maybe look at condensing your gear and getting smaller and lighter. For example, you don't need a bivi and a tent, don't even need a tent at all. With a bivi bag a small sil-nylon tarp is fine, I have one that's about 2.5mx1.5m, weighs about 200g and fits in my pocket. I camp out for several days at a time with this no problem.

I agree with darktide and use a 5.11 Tactical Rush 24 in black as this blends in well in both urban and the countryside. Keep it simple.
