EDC For high school
Re: EDC For high school
Please confirm your age as we have a min age limit. Thanks.
In reply to your question:
Torch - good.
Bandana - to cover mouth and nose in case of fire/smoke.
Sharpie pen - to write messages in case of evacuation and no mobile signal.
Mobile phone - fully charged and with credit.
Bottle of water - to drink and to wet bandana.
High energy snacks/dried fruit etc
Tissues/wet wipes (KFC ones are great)
Hand sanitiser
Warm hat/gloves etc in cold weather.
Sun hat, suncream in hot weather.
Poncho -doubles as shelter and rain coat (poundshops special).
To be honest that's about all you could carry at high school plus books etc. Always wear a winter coat in winter (my teenage daughter does not ) as well as good footwear in case to have to walk a distance to get home if public transport is not available.
Hope that helps.

Some of which he couldn't really have in his bag for school. Some schools have metal detectors checking for offensive weapons.2ndRateMind wrote:multi-tool.

Maybe. I just wouldn't be without them. I'd feel naked!

Condoms.
One of those re-usable bags you get from supermarkets that pack down to a tiny little package.
Antiseptic Wipes.
Spare Medication & Glasses (if needed)
Paracord (I never leave home without mine)
Condoms are useful for plenty of things, besides the obvious! Always worth carrying a couple with you (you may get unlucky as well as lucky). You can carry water (with the addition of the bag from the supermarket, it's easier to carry in larger quantities), you can put it over your mobile phone in case of having to traverse a river, your laptop computer or tablet if you really have to. Anyway, there's a thread on them here viewtopic.php?f=35&t=9188
Back to the bags, if you need to carry some extra books home or if you are on your way to the supermarket on your way, equally if the world has ended you can use it to carry those extra bits and pieces you have foraged for etc.
