Just sumbled across these listed in Lidl's offers on line

look like a good potential evac bag 37l with a lashing strap to hold a "zumba" mat on... the camper in me sees a camping mat or thermarest in its place :) £6.99 from monday

Nice, but I'd still prefer a backpack.

backpack WITH a frame either internal or external, if you get one with an external frame you can remove the pack and use it for moving other heavy items(which you cant get inside the pack), a frame will spread the weight.
Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.

I can see your thinking there. Let us be honest, if you need to 'evacuate' for whatever reason, you do not want to be looking like a soldier. I say that , as many, though not all, set ups are very military looking.
