Thought I would post this as I was put on to a good source of info-

This contains all the US military manuals. (They are not all about shooting people!)
Take your time and you will find a lot of very good info including medical procedures, fitness training, field hygiene, nutrition - Oh! and for those who like the tactical stuff there is a lot of that.
