worried civi in staffs.

Post by paranoia's-a- »

Hello my names kev im 26 I support myself and my family in pretty decent area if im honest. But ive had an irrational fear for years and would like to turn it into a rationl one. I watched a tv programme called "blackout" im sure its been mentioned on here. Thats been makimg me think for awhile if that happend I would be done and have a hungry child and stressed mrs to cope with. The switch from good times to bad times could happen anytime not necessarily affecting anybody else either. Anything could happen so I thought I would come and listen to more experienced people. Then start stocking up on foods and whatever else I may need.

God forbid the worst happens and everybody's on the turn I would be ready for that, expect the worse hope for the best. As blackout shown or the london riots not being prepared you wont last long. I would rather stay inside if chaos did break out making sure my family was safe.

I would like a quick run through the website where I should start what I should stock up on the best things tho. Ofcourse I know tinned food but I dont know if theres better things longer life, better taste.

Thank you for making this website I do actually think something could happen in the near future. Even if thats 4ft floods. To a zombie hoard lol.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Best start here

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=817

Water, food and shelter are the three most important things. After that think about alternative heating, lighting and cooking facilities.

We can't give you a quick fix - you will just need to spend some time on here reading and gaining knowledge. Don't get bogged down in the unnecessary.

Be Prepared.
Plan like its the last loaf on the shop shelves.
Plan like its the last beer in the fridge.
