Re: weakness
I think it depends on why you are having to bug out!

Be Prepared.
Plan like its the last loaf on the shop shelves.

Re: weakness
Our weaknesses are we couldn't carry all we would want to take with us, and safety is where we would be heading, we keep seeing this but it's simple low budget means two or more locations are not possible, more than you can carry makes you a bug in prepper or a refugee.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
Re: weakness
most people would be bugging IN (it IS the most logical course of action after all), bugging out only comes if your flooded or burnt out of your home or its no longer safe to live there due to disease or mob rule.
Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.
Re: weakness
I really don't believe that a bug out this very instant will be anything but a very remote possibility as pretty much any situation will build up over time. That would give a little more flexibility but I'd agree that the physically limiting factor is how much supplies could be carried. Perhaps another potential weakness is a lack of information. I've seen the news reports of the recent flooding and have lost count of the number of people saying that they were being told nothing . Any of us could have a ready prepared bug out location but if that area is compromised and no information is coming out we could be jumping from the pan into the fire.
Follow the logical course and bug in for as long as possible.

Re: weakness
there is a prepper saying: "NEVER become a refugee!"i.e. a wanderer with no where to go.
Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.
Re: weakness
I don't doubt it, but it's probably American, they would have to have the population numbers of China as evenly spread as ours is here to appreciate things as they are here, where all land belongs to someone ( else usually) and asides from a few comparatively barren areas there's always another person not far away.lonewolf wrote:there is a prepper saying: "NEVER become a refugee!"i.e. a wanderer with no where to go.

Re: weakness
like I say Plymton keep thinking like that bugging out of Plymouth either means "acquiring" a boat or heading for the moors.
Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.
Re: weakness
Certainly wouldn't be the bloody train for a while would it? and the plane has been a removed option for some time too.
