why does everyone want to rebuild exactly what we had before? isn't that why it collapsed in the first place? lets build something new, something different, not the same old, same old.

I wouldn't want to build exactly the same; as far as I'm concerned, what we have is precisely why it's all going to fall over, go boom in the first place!

However, things like small scale power generation are good, and something I'd like to rebuild.

we need to go back to an earlier time and a simpler way of living.

But the Migrations Period is a little too simple

I like the printed word,consistant steel, soap and medicine that works.
If it all falls down I'd like to get to around Amish tech level as quickly as possible
