Easi-yo yoghurt system

Post by rickoshea »

I have an easi-yo yoghurt system I bought from lakeland a few years ago. You add a premixed pack to around a litre of water and put it in a flask of boiling water overnight. Does anyone else have one?
I was thinking a freeze dried yoghurt mix would store quite well, even passed it's expiry date, and could be a handy in the event of supply disruption - unless you have a dairy herd, then you are ok.
Or does anyone have a better option? I'd like to know.

I have an easiyo, the packs normally have a year on them but have eaten past sell by date. Not sure the really creamy ones would last as long out of date as the normal ones though due to the creaminess of them.

A good prep and they are very filling!

Tried to make up an out of date sachet yesterday, it just wouldn't set, stayed really runny. Smelt fine, tasted ok and would have been fine as a drink but I don't like drinking yoghurt myself so it went down the sink.

Hope that helps the op.
