Re: What Preps are you doing this week

Purchased a pack of 7 cigarette lighters which may last me a long time as i don't smoke :) When you think about it, for such an amazing tool lighters are incredibly cheap! It might be a little overkill but check this out for great value :D http://www.amazon.co.uk/50-DISPOSABLE-LIGHTER-CHILD-SAFE/dp...

'Look What We Found' Chicken Tikka - Review

A little while ago I was searching for some MRE's that could go into my 72 hour kit, but without paying the rip-off price tag that comes with most MRE's. I also wanted something which already contained a lot of water in the meal so that I diddn't have to use up any of my drinking water to cook it if...

Re: land rover

Actually could I ask a quick question? when I first looked at the Jimny I was put off by the fact it only comes in petrol. i usually wouldnt find the petrol a problem. ive seen them go through the same rivers as my in the defender. about 3 foot is as deep as a do. Re: land rover

Ohh right, awesome :) I have to say, good simple 4x4's like the Defender or Ji...

Re: land rover

What about the suzuki Jimny? Small petrol 4x4, I'm presuming its fairly economical (much more than a Defender anyway) :) and awesome off road too.. Absolutely! Great video here of the Land Rover Defender VS Susuki Jimny off road. I really like them actually, and they're very reasonably priced! Bran...

Re: What medical equipment do you have?

Sorry but there's no pleasant way to continue this thread , so I won't , your information /knowledge is flawed, pleased don't use or consider using a tourniquet, because you'll cause more harm than good . Jamie Please could you point out any info that is incorrect and PM me? I would be interested t...

Re: What medical equipment do you have?

a tourniquet can be safe for use up to 2 hours For the full two hours ? Not necessarily, depends on individual circumstances. The dangerous part is removing the tourniquet, as there is a build up of toxins that when suddenly released can overwhelm the body. But hopefully the ambulance would have tu...

Re: What medical equipment do you have?

Can I ask , have you had training in how to use a tourniquet? Because its not just a matter of cutting the blood supply off . Just for the record I'm a ex combat medic who's used a tourniquet for real. J As it happens, yes I have had training in them (although admittedly not in the last few years) ...
