I have ordered 2 Binatone Action 1000's for a bit of fun with my eldest son but will be hoping to use for short range comm in a SHTF.

Have been looking at getting a licence from Ofcom but not sure yet.

My current car is a c4 grand picasso. so no off roading for me :( That said in winter time i do pack the boot with my winter survival kit just in case i get caught out this includes ex-army folding shovel spear gloves, hats, socks 2 tyre mats 5ltr bag road grit lots of hand warmers wind-up torch can...

So I'm looking at buying my first prepping / survival knife

I'm looking for a fixed drop point blade with belt sheath does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations?

Water, Water and more water!!

We have our meds up to one full months supply which is great
food is at 2 weeks+
water is 6 days at 5lts per person per day

Next buy a camping loo and poo bags! lots of poo bags

My family is new to prepping as well, we also have disabled family members and a very tight budget, we tend to buy one or two items per month equipment wise be it a fire steel and some cotton wool and food wise we get the odd extra bit here and there but it is important to buy what you will be happy...
