Re: My BOB advice needed...
Quick release scope. Doesn't have to be on the rifle. A basic scope should far outweigh a basic set of binos. Especially recce for game. Binos are good for general observation but the glare from a lens can give away your position. Plus if the eyepiece focus us out in one lens then it will be useless...

Re: My BOB advice needed...
Nice little setup.
As for shelter I suggest army issue bivi bag.
Binos.....? Why? - if you have a scope on your air rifle that's all you need.
Snaring - I don't want to seem rude - can you use it correctly?
You don't seem to have any form of skinning knife for your traps.

Re: Urban Prep
I fully agree there is a great chance to notice the steady decay in normality however that "steady" decay can happen in as short as a week. Urban survival and wilderness survival to me are the same. My skills are best suited to the wilderness however... The kill or be killed mentality I th...

Re: Urban Prep
The dreaded suburbs.... They are already scary. It's a strange thought... Do we revert to a primitative lifestyle knowing it works but it's a hares unforgiving life or cling to the city we know and hope for some return to normality? If we opted for site would we be prepared to fight for food? Would ...

Re: Life saver bottle
No shelf life but be careful it says 100,000 gallons guarentee however when SHTF and it only manages 100gallons. Who will uphold the guarantee. If it does what it says you've hot a little gem there. My concern would be a membrane filter - not as reliable as molecular or carbon filters. But the pros ...

Urban Prep
This is more out of curiosity than anything else. Is anyone urban prepping - do you plan to utilise the fall in society and having a bag prepped for urban survival? I personally will head for the nearest wood block and live in the wilderness. But the cities although a hotspot for violence potentiall...

Hey hamradioop.
I don't know about yourself but I'm new to Wiltshire and I'm loving the wide open area and just think it's a beautiful place to bug out to.
