Hi Dicon. Personally I wouldn't buy the camping/army/survival foods for hunkering down. Buy tinned foods in the supermarket - we bought some extras from Lidl at the weekend that are best before 2018. Installed a new rain catcher and water butt. Got some freebies from http://www.savewater.co.uk/ and put them to good use. Did a trial of various different companies tinned curries and found Lidls was to our liking and the cheapest :D

Wow - very tricky but if the S has really hit the F then, funnily enough, you may find the equipment to do this in a dairy. Sulphuric acid and centrifuges are used in fat determination by the Gerber method. Just a thought :)
