Re: Post Antibiotic era
With regards to the development of new antibiotics I found this BBC article from January. Let's hope the Boston scientists have been making good progress since. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-30657486 The fact that there had been no new antibiotics since the 80s seems like an awful long time for t...

Bad news about antibiotic resistance
Dr Apocalypse will hopefully be able to shed more light on this for us I am sure but today the Independent and several other papers are running an article stating that tests in china have shown that an ecoli strain (and this will also be relevant to other infection types including pneumonia) have be...

Re: Ignorant Sheeple.
I have been quietly discussing the benefits of prepping to my husband, kids, mum and sister but would be reluctant to say much to people beyond that circle. Will speak to my brother shortly. These are all people who could help me and I would be willing to help. There are many other family and friend...

My first 3.5 weeks of prepping
Ok, so this is what I've done so far in my short prepping life: 1. Stocked up my kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer 2. Cleared out a big cupboard in the house and started to stockpile food and water. I've managed to get a decent stash together already. There's definitely enough food in the house ...

Re: fish antibiotics for humans
Has anyone heard of or used a site called trustedonlinepills for buying antibiotics? Any idea if they are selling legit meds? There seems to be several similar sites out there but don't want to fall victim to a scam or waste money on fake pills. Thanks

Re: Hi, from the rainy NW.
Hello,
I used to live in Helensurgh too and my OH was also based at Faslane (marines). That was about 10 years ago now. I liked Helensburgh. It was quiet but a nice town.

Enthusiastic new prepper from Scotland
Hello, I live in the south west of Scotland and have always known in the back of my mind that it's important to prepare for emergencies, disasters, shtf situations but am embarrassed to say that I have done absolutely nothing about it until now! Well that's all changed in the last few days. I've fin...
