Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 13
Emergency fence repair yesterday. We live about 200yards from the coast, which is to the south of us. Garden goes East/West and we have a 6ft fence along the south side. When the wind blows, due to the way the houses are aligned they act as a funnel, so the fences get the brunt. It can be so strong...

I've a home NAS full of films, tv shows and music; I also have about a dozen 500Gb external SSDs full of films, music and TV shows as mobile back up and add to that...

Checked out AA/AAA battery stocks, we have some Varta, some Energizer, and just a few Duracell.
Varta and Energizer were fine, the Duracell well within date, were starting to corrode so got rid of them.
Will check the batteries in EDC and vehicle kit.

I got a small thorn stuck in my hand. Could have got nasty. Had to dig it out with a needle. I was careful. The skin on the end of my thumb was quite thick, so it was ok. Didn't bleed. But you don't want stuff like that embedded. I steralised the needle with a lighter, and looked at the thorn with ...

The wood burner last night decided to dump a load of grit down the side of the flue that goes up the chimney. The woodburner is in the chimney breast but there is a board/plate across the top opening in the chimney. Think what has been happening is that over the years there has been a gradual accum...
