I do believe anything is possible and I think you honesty is refreshing
But i dont think it is possible for Hollywoods "traditional" zombie is a touch far fetched. Reanimating the dead essentially making the recently dead rise again

HOWEVER
their is always a possibilty

I think something more along the lines of "I am Legend" is possible
alot of the illness,diseases etc are cause of us trying to cure other ones.
so i can see the possiblity of this happening

zombies don`t exist , how ever the real life things do . like no oil or fuel prices going beyond the every day person budget . these are real so is unemployment . if you can prep for these then everything else should fall into place .
start with the things you can control , like food preps , water storage , alternative fuels ,do some research on solar power and water filters . that should keep your mind focused on normal things for a while .

take your pick: unemployment, sickness/accident or emergency admission to hospital, financial/economic followed by a depression, mass unemployment, repossessions and rent evictions, EU fails and European countries go their own way, Gas, Oil, and Petrol prices rise so much that only the rich can afford them, no more oil-end of the "oil era", EMP either natural or man made, critical total failure of the power grid..no electricity,food shortages, no deliveries to shops so shelves empty, Rioting, Arson and Looting(like in the riots of 2011 but this time nationwide), Societal Collapse, Government retreats to bunkers under London, resulting in W.R.O.L.(without rule of law),welcome to the new reality!
