Just a quick note, on the posts I have seen many preppers are tying to get the best bargain (which is good) but wouldn't they have less nutritional value than the more expensive brands, therefore you'll need to use more to compensate or need supplements. I'm not very knowledgeable in this but I thought it is a topic which needs to be addressed in case any one has forgotten.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention the possible stuff there is in those cheap brands... processed meats and the dreads, fillers, substitutes, sweeteners like sugar etc. to make you more addicted. That's one of the reasons why ready meals are so popular. Not good for you at all
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure that is the reason why they're so cheap. Get cheap brands, but it is ill-advised to get the cheapest.
