Can always remember my grandad cleaning his overalls in a big catering size pan on the stove top with a healthy dose of soap flakes using wooden tongs to stir them up.... Gran wouldn't let them go in the top loader

All my bug out clothing is odder and bacterial resistant material so it needs less washing than normal thankfully, I carry a fold away bucket so I tend to wash my stuff in that. Rather not have it smelling like smoke from a camp fire.

I recently saw a foot operated one! Looked like a peddle bin and you just pressed the peddle to get it working. I will see if I can find it
