We used washable nappies with our kids, its only a bit/ lot of poo, nothing to get frightened off. Mind I wouldn't have wanted to wash them everyday by hand.
I've never used a bidet, I can imagine water going everywhere apart from where it is supposed to be directed, does this make me common?

Without seeming too gross, it's all about how you sit or squat.

If you are squatting to have a sh*t then your butt cheeks are further apart and less residue will be left on the skin to be wiped. So using wipe cloth would be fine as they wouldn't get too dirty.

Does that make sense and sorry if you're eating your supper!!

Must admit this post has made me so grateful for my stash, I had to go and have a look to reassure myself that it was still there

It's funny... used cloth nappies with my kids, including at times cloth wipes, but never fancied using them on myself!!

TP is cheap and easy to get for now, but still, if stocks ran out I'd have no trouble managing without, as humans have done for 1000s of years! It'd be the least of my worries. Better to think about stocking up many bars of good soap for hand washing!
