Blood Pressure - Still too high Doc increased medication again.
A way to go but the Low Carb/Higher Fat diet seems to of worked for me.
Plus side lost over a stone so far.
Negative side all my clothes don't fit .
Thanks for all the support and laughs.
Ear problem still unresolved though.....

Health check - have an MOT
Pseudonym half to hear some things we going your way. I'm not sure if this is of help to yourself or to anyone here but Ocra? Spelling? Is good for your blood sugar level. Maybe some thing to look into if you already haven't.
Hope everything go the way it should.

Re: Health check - have an MOT
Sorry for the late reply, the thread slipped my mind.
Yep, Okra is a low carb vegetable so I am allowed it.
Low carb/higher fat lifestyle has meant I have lost 16 kgs so far and getting pre-diabetic/normal range Blood sugar readings.
BP readings still high, despite another increase in Meds,
One step at a time.

Husband was diagnosed type 2 in 2009 pseudonym, his latest 6 monthly hba1c was 40 - normal, not diabetic. Strict low carb/moderate fat, but not a lot of exercise, he is slightly underweight. Never been on meds.

My latest was 32 but I need to have a couple like that to be happy. I know the statins and BP tablets will have raised my next one in Feb.

Can you try exercise to help with the BP? And the husband was on 40mg Simvastatin but cut down to 10mg on his own, without telling the gp. His cholestrol didn't change lol.

Nope, the BP meds give me severe chest pains if I exert myself.
Never had any pain at all before the meds

Re: Health check - have an MOT
get back to g.p and get checked out asap, any chest pain needs looking in to mate especially if other medical issues.

Thanks for your concern and advice.medicmark wrote:get back to g.p and get checked out asap, any chest pain needs looking in to mate especially if other medical issues.
You would think so wouldn't you?
Nah,
Dr, Cardiology nurse, cardiologist specialist, consultant all know best.
Following an angiogram, where nothing was found I again asked could the pain be from the Blood pressure medication?
(As a side effect of two of the pills I'm on)
Surgeon's reply - could be.
My follow up consultation booked for 9 months after angiogram so the consultant CBA.
They still just hear the words "Chest Pain" and try and treat it, not looking at the cause i.e tablet side effects
