Base for 1000L IBC

Hi guys, this weekend I'm will attempt to put base in for my IBC . The advice I been is a base of between 50mm to 100mm. I'll also got concrete blocks that I was gonna bed in to the base. What's the advice on here? If am the cement and sand route what mix?

To be fair although a tonne of weight it's going vto be static

I'd just sit it on a bed of crushed like packed / tamped down with flag stones to sit it on

agreed, depending on the ground type there may well be need for nothing more than a nice HD plastic pallet or indeed the cage may incorporate a metal pallet like base.
Could use more information really, looking to up the flow rate via gravity?

From where it's gonna sit to the path if I used the concrete blocks it's was gonna be 6inch higher than the path. Trying to load a picture up but it's too big . Its gonna go next to my brick shed and brick wall dividing the neighbours and mine garden.

There will be a gap of one of those red bricks between wall to IBC

Make sure you don't bridge your damp course if that's the house wall

Ours was on breeze blocks laid sideways which were direct on levelled ground. It was there for a couple of years with no movement. From what I see there, you wouldn't need any prep other than what you need to level it off. If it's on a Pallet, you'll only need a base if you want to get a bucket or watering can under the tap. HTH

Not sand and cement.You need aggregate and cement.Standard thinking is 4 parts aggregate to 1 part cement.My Dad used to say ," make it a good hard mix",and when he'd done nothing moved!.Therefore I'd use a 3:1 mix.Then give it two weeks to set.Given the frost at the moment,if you can leave it til a slightly warmer spell,that would help.save it cracking.

We have a 1300 ltr oil tank in the garden, I use hardcore tamped down and 3x2 paving slabs on top. must be level works fine.
Dont go too near the border wall to your neighbours you could upset the founds with the weight and crack the wall.
