I can't help but think that the problem with next doors dogs is that they bark too much. They're barking now as I type this , they bark if the neighbours are in their gardens , at pigeons , at everything and anything. As such it just becomes a background noise and if they bark at something they should really be barking at it gets lost in the noise , just think "the boy who cried wolf"...

I completely agree - must be a total pain in the neck and not helpful or neighbourly. Just a couple of properties where I live at the end of a long, remote lane.
