Lot of health probs here holding me back from prepping, but got Sainsbugs this morning with a big-for-us order of £130. Sadly then I found I have nowhere at all to put the bloody stuff. And yesterday I leaned over to reach something and my back pinged, and now I can't move at all without hitting the roof in pain... so the ratty husband had to cope with the delivery and erm. Didn't   Checked my BP after that because I had a splitting headache, and it was 150/100 - and I'm on meds for it

Ouch Lil. I hope your back settles down very soon and that you can find some way to reduce the stress levels (and thus the BP).
Do you have any tricks to settle things down that work for you? In our house an Epsom Salts bath gets used for this sort of thing and seems to help.

No bath, just a wet room GB  I've found a pain patch and stuck it on my back, plus double strength co-codamol. Andy's suggestion is far better but I haven't got any booze in the house. IF I HAD IT WOULD BE FINISHED NOW ANYWAY
Andy he chucked it all in a basket and put the basket in the middle of the kitchen floor. He is such a treasure and help.

I'm pondering the possibility of an extreme shortage of Cointreau. This would not be good.
I think I better deal with this.

Popped into B&M to get my weeks pack up supplies (read snacks and nibbles ) home electric isle plug in pct ceramic heaters £2 each!! 700w now nothing spectacular but I used these 2 years ago 3 of them kept upstairs toasty warm when we had issues .... Was funny we reported our leccy meter not working and they told us that didn't happen :tinfoil that winter we didn't use the gas boiler bar for hot water let's just say we didnt have a cold house and the oil radiator couldn't stand the pace but we saved a fair few nuggets ;) we had credit showing and it did not drop

All thing said be it gas oil or leccy central heating these provided a simple backup gave my sister one for my nieces bedroom should her boiler pack up working ..sister did say what about me she got told to hug her other half

Did a bit of shopping over the weekend grabbed a few more tins of food to add to my new shtf box of scran

Charged the rest of the rechargeable preps up

Got another 50x 8hr tea lights

A few more first aid bits ..

Garden is slowly getting winterised

Allotment has been a flop this year 5x big rows of spuds has just about filled a bag for life :(

Rotating some prep food. Long life curry and naans last night and tonight. I have the very last of my Spice Tailor Chickpea Masala tonight, as I think they stopped making it. I have two new varieties to try in my cupboard. Pasta, with sauce I make myself, in a couple of days. I make about 5 meals worth of sauce, so I'll have it for two days, and freeze three.

Lawn needs cutting again soon. I think one this week, and one mid October should do it for the year. Going to order and plant a few plants in about a week or so, end of the month job. I have put a few in this year, so next year the garden should start to look quite decent. It's narrow, but long, and the border on the left faces south.

Took a load of old batteries to Sainsburys the other day, one less fire risk and less mess to look at. Not sure how I had so many, considering most are rechargeable now. I think most are from buying things like thermometers, that come with one in.

In the middle of water container rotation. I need to do some smoke alarm checks soon.

Still using a Tog 1 duvet. Got the 1.5 in a cover on standby, and the 3 is under the bed, cover in drawer. That'll do til late December. I also have a cotton throw I can use on top of the 1, but haven't needed it yet.
