Shipping Container Home
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: Shipping Container Home
Flippin heck! I was going to say it's probably cheaper than a holiday caravan, but maybe not.
I do think being able to make a home out of anything you can get hold of is a good idea, but I always get put off when these articles and blogs are presented by the god squad folks. It's just me though...

Can't read for hysterics over the God bit at the side and the Ark bit at the end but I'd think it would run with condensation and ruin yer lungs ..
Re: Shipping Container Home
I like the idea, if i had the land to put it on, but does anyone know how much a container actually costs to buy??
Re: Shipping Container Home

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain~anon
Re: Shipping Container Home
i like the ex site office for £1,200 now all i've got to do is find some land
Re: Shipping Container Home
Interesting idea. I've seen the same sort of thing buried underground as a BOL. However, if you want something overland would it not be better to look at getting a 2nd hand static caravan? It wouldn't look so suspicious when siting it. You could then repaint to camoflague it. IMO
Re: Shipping Container Home
i think a container is more solid than a caravan, the ex office one i looked at even had shutters, lockable from the inside.

Re: Shipping Container Home
What about condensation and air circulation?
Re: Shipping Container Home
the one i looked at had windows, obviously i would want to put in a log burner and probably some air vents.
