Flippin heck! :o I was going to say it's probably cheaper than a holiday caravan, but maybe not. :D
I do think being able to make a home out of anything you can get hold of is a good idea, but I always get put off when these articles and blogs are presented by the god squad folks. It's just me though... ;)

Can't read for hysterics over the God bit at the side and the Ark bit at the end :mrgreen: :mrgreen: but I'd think it would run with condensation and ruin yer lungs ..

I like the idea, if i had the land to put it on, but does anyone know how much a container actually costs to buy??

Interesting idea. I've seen the same sort of thing buried underground as a BOL. However, if you want something overland would it not be better to look at getting a 2nd hand static caravan? It wouldn't look so suspicious when siting it. You could then repaint to camoflague it. IMO :D

i think a container is more solid than a caravan, the ex office one i looked at even had shutters, lockable from the inside.

the one i looked at had windows, obviously i would want to put in a log burner and probably some air vents.
