Re: BOV IDEA
you tend to find the hard bodied trucks were built to be a radio Truck and as such are insulated and usually have blow air heating .

Re: BOV IDEA
What about a disused ambulance? change the outer appearance, or pimp out a normal van so it dont attract attention, even if u dont have a loo and cooker its still a shelter thats mobileunsure wrote:there is a hard back version , hard to find i`m told .bit like the 101 ambulance body
Re: BOV IDEA
Its always best (unless you're flush with cash) to have a BOV that can also be used as an everyday vehicle as well. A Converted army truck or amubulance is a nice idea, but fuel costs might soon put you off if you used it regularly. If you arent intending to use it regularly, do you have the space and spare cash that you can tie up in such a vehicle ? This is why vehicles like LR 90's/110's and similar japanese offerings like Hilux, etc are often suggested on these forums.
My workmate converted an old army LR110 ambulance (or maybe a 130, i'm not an expert) and it would make a great BOV, but he still drives his old peugot 306 to work every day
