Yeah, I've posted before on here about my local 99p Store. You can find some good prepper stuff in the 'camping' section, although you'd probably have to hurry before they clear the shelves for winter.

I do love a rummage in the pound shop.
The thin bracelet glow sticks don't really light anything up but could be useful as waypoint markers or something
For the tools etc I consider them all disposable but sometimes am pleasantly surprised.
My mum was telling me about a tv show re pound shops explaining their tactics. Apparently even the branded stuff is packaged specially for them in lower quantities to match their pricing but often not notably smaller so you feel you're getting a bargain when you're really getting 85p worth compared to the normal supermarket.
