Sheppards Stores Upper Hill Hereford
Sheppards Stores Upper Hill Hereford
I got some great Army Surplus stuff from them years ago, but had heard they don't do any nowadays, anyone been up there lately
Re: Sheppards Stores Upper Hill Hereford
They shut down last year, used to make the trip over there occasionally, but the surplus dried up and they went on to ski-wear and such sports wear, so no-one was willing to go there for what they can get in the towns and cities. The Super marine swift got sold off as well.

Depends what you are after, Last time I was in Hereford, before Christmas time, trip to the big city
there was a street market going on and one stall had a sign saying army surplus in the butter market.
MASH in gloucester used to have a web site, but that has gone, so I guess the shop has as well, A long time ago there was HQ84 in the same town just off the city centre, but that was 20 years since I saw that place.
Your best bet is going to be online stores.

The one in hereford butter market is not much good , very limited stock, I am looking for a heavy duty jacket, had one from Sheppards lasted me years very warm.
I have looked online and there seem to be lots of "army style" stuff out there and when I find genuine surplus stuff it is limited in size (52" chest)

They are indeed, i use this place http://www.militarykit.com/ popped in there the other day and had a look round to avoid being dragged round afflecks. It's not bad has turned more commercial camping than full surplus.

Have you tried the one on Fromes hill ?
Surplus and adventure I think, just don't buy on line if you can visit instead.
