They shut down last year, used to make the trip over there occasionally, but the surplus dried up and they went on to ski-wear and such sports wear, so no-one was willing to go there for what they can get in the towns and cities. The Super marine swift got sold off as well. :(

Depends what you are after, Last time I was in Hereford, before Christmas time, trip to the big city  there was a street market going on and one stall had a sign saying army surplus in the butter market.

MASH in gloucester used to have a web site, but that has gone, so I guess the shop has as well, A long time ago there was HQ84 in the same town just off the city centre, but that was 20 years since I saw that place.

Your best bet is going to be online stores.

The one in hereford butter market is not much good , very limited stock, I am looking for a heavy duty jacket, had one from Sheppards lasted me years very warm.

I have looked online and there seem to be lots of "army style" stuff out there and when I find genuine surplus stuff it is limited in size (52" chest)

Army surplus stores seem to be becoming pretty rare these days. I always use endicotts in exeter, Kevin there is always great to deal with.

They are indeed, i use this place http://www.militarykit.com/ popped in there the other day and had a look round to avoid being dragged round afflecks. It's not bad has turned more commercial camping than full surplus.

Have you tried the one on Fromes hill ?

Surplus and adventure I think, just don't buy on line if you can visit instead.
