I have now built a double Rocket stove.. so I can have two things cooking/warming/boiling etc!!
Have to say tho that they take a lot more than twigs to keep burning!!.. Small pieces of Kindling are much better than twigs.
Virtually smokefree, once its burning you get a modicom of smoke at the start and imediatley around the stove but nothing you can see from several feet away... from the end of the Garden (90ftish) its pretty much invisible!

This is a great and simple idea that's inspired me to have a go.

3 bits to add:

- Not keen on the precarious brick bridging the bottom hole in the vid, I'd rather stagger the base bricks as per my attached pic. This will give a more stable base and solid platform for the bridge (red) brick - yes I know I need to get out more!
- Breeze blocks have more air pockets in for insulation. I may add a layer of them round the outside which will hopefully hold the heat better.
- To anyone else that tries this; I wouldn't use damp/wet bricks regardless of type as they would crack or explode when the water inside them expands.

The problem with admitting there's a problem is having to wipe the sand off your face and do something about it.

What a great video. I need to make one of these in the garden for summertime use.
