Prepping and being self sufficient is quite simple to explain, a few guidelines for you to include in your study.

1. Try not to get into debt that you can't possibly pay back.
2. Practice being self sufficient and self reliant by doing your own washing (not taking it home at the end of term)
3. Try to live within your means (not your parents means)
4. Study a subject that may be useful. (Costa Coffee employs lots of young people who studied useless subjects)
5. learn how to cook from scratch (this does not mean taking the top of a pot noodle and putting the kettle on all by yourself.)
6. Tread carefully when using a forum of people who are striving and struggling to survive NOW never mind in the future, about how to prep. This is particularly annoying if you have no idea what this is like ,or how this feels, (because you have never been their, yet)

Apologies if this post offends.

7. Develop a thick skin, the older you get the more you are going to need it.
