From what I can find out range is limited to about 2 miles dependant on terrain 2 way comms using the short range business frequency's that are licence free
Its compact charges itself and offers charging point for other tech
Multi channel monitoring as well as standard radio and a torch to boot!
Swiss army radio?

Maybe a worry having all eggs in one basket but possibly a backup/cache item?
Have found them for sale just a hair over £50

Far east manufacture..... I am on a permaculture/camping forum and people team up to buy items in bulk on there ... Possibly something for the future?
