Posting your EDC list seems to be acceptable so here goes, I’d really appreciate some feedback because this is my personal opinion and I’m always receptive to the views of others, however before you start to rip my efforts apart please bear in mind my unofficial preconceptions or ‘EDC rules’;
I am not Batman therefore I will not be wearing utility pouches on my belt
I am a bloody bloke therefore (other than a watch) I will not be wearing jewellery such as bracelets and necklaces (even if they are paracord or ranger rick stylee), tactical bling is not my thing
I am not an American therefore I will not be wearing a fanny pack or bum bag
I am not a school caretaker or prison officer therefore I will not carry a 2kilo key chain
While I appreciate that this limits my carriage options I’m a bit stuck in my ways so my EDC will be carried in my pockets, whilst my EDC(plus) will be in my daysack
Most trousers have at least four pockets so I consider it the norm to carry one thing in each pocket which allows me a quick pat down to make sure ive got my stuff with me

1. Keys, apart from obviously some keys, the only items I have on my keys are a Maglite solitaire and a SAK (Spartan) (all non locking officer) attached via a karabiner for removal
2. Mobile phone, this is currently one area I seriously need to improve, whilst I have faithfully clung to my current phone for more years than I care to remember I do appreciate the functionality of a smartphone (phone, gps, camera and certain apps for example)
3. Another Knife to compliment my SAK, this Army clasp knife fits all the criteria for UK legal carry, the knife next to it is what I used to carry and what I would like to carry (I would never EDC it now as it is illegal…..) The lanyard on the clasp knife goes through a belt loop and as well as providing a means of securing the knife to me provides a handy length of cord (replacement shoelace or similar)
4. Wallet, usual stuff credit cards, cash, ID, licences, memberships etc. I also have what I call a flat kit, this comprises an old survival tool, a beer bottle opener, Fresnel lens, old credit card wrapped in about 1m of duct tape, In a small poly bag that fits in a credit card slot I carry, 2x Safety pins, needle and thread, 2x scalpel blades, book of matches and tiny flint rod, 6 puritabs, half a dozen plasters, 4 aspirin and 1 antiseptic wipe.
(I may, if I am planning on walking abig city at night, carry my decoy/drop wallet (a small amount of cash and some expired credit cards) to hand over if mugged – but although I think it’s a good idea I usually forget all about it)
I always wear a watch, my criteria are that it must be robust to withstand a knock or two, waterproof to minimum of 200m and visible in the dark, I currently fluctuate between my Nite MX-50 in steel and an original CASIO G-Shock Illuminator, depending on how flashy I want to look
My default jacket is an Olive green US Army M65 (with liner in winter), I also have a black version for urban/smart wear

In the top pockets my micro FAK, space blanket and quick clot Celox Gauze dressing
Notebook and pencil
‘survival’ pack whistle/compass,firesteel, lighter and string
There is normally some chewing gum to stay minty fresh and a pack of handy andy type tissues
In the lower pockets I carry my surefire torch (has strobe and crenelated edge for defensive purposes if required)
Leather Wrangler’s gloves
Sunglasses during the summer months (in case)
A hat - watch cap for winter, baseball cap for summer
Shemagh
My daysack is usually carried with me to and from work. But it probably starts to crossover from EDC to GHB.
In the main section of my daysack are my packed lunch (with small bottle of water) a Laptop and A4 office wallet for work stuff

Attached to the outside (concealed but with quick reach) is a benchmade strap cutter (not sure how legal this is, but even I would not know how to use this offensively). Inside various sub-compartments or side pouches I keep the following items:
Metal water bottle (full)
Thermal coffee mug (hopefully full of delicious coffee)
Penknife
Leatherman Tool (probably illegal but as it is secured in a sheath in the depths of my daysack I will take my chances)
Back-up PAYG cell phone on a different network to primary phone
Pocket radio
Headtorch
Some AAA batteries
Spare watch (mechanical)
Surefire 9p tactical torch
Poncho (lightweight olive / camo reversible)
Lightweight Gore-Tex rain jacket (unfortunately the best one I have that fits in the pouch is in MultiCam)
FAK
Face mask and latex gloves
Soap
Toothbrush and paste
Red Cyclists LED and hi vis belt
Monocular
Duct Tape
Cordage
Cable ties
Fencing wire
Cyalumes
A few plastic carrier bags for waste, dirty clothes etc
Leather and Nomex pilot gloves (fireproof, great if you have to handle anything hot (or escape from a burning jet fighter plane)
Wiley x Tactical sunglasses/goggles
There is also (not in the picture) a small bottle of hand sanitiser and attached to the outside of the bag is a compact umbrella but I forgot to take it off for the pic…
The only other things I am currently chasing are a lightweight smoke hood for escaping fires and a tactical ‘pen’ as made by surefire or Uzi; but decent ones aren’t cheap (and I am)
I feel like something is missing but so far I have not found myself in a “wish I had brought my….” Situation, but hopefully someone will point out any glaring omissions (if not I had fun getting my stuff out anyway)
And hopefully the pictures have uploaded ok!!
Cheers
If in doubt…..
