Re: Legal or not
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/33/part/XI/crossheading/articles-with-blades-or-points-and-offensive-weapons Theres the legislation! Honestly it depends on why you have it, where you have it and what you are doing with it when stopped! It could be a totally legal knife but if you have it op...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Just a wee add on to the above about silver coins, pre-1920 are .925 silver and between 1920 and 1946 are .500 silver. Handy to have a few crowns etc lying about!

Re: Motorcycles
I had a wee Honda CG125 for a few years before getting my full license and getting a Honda CB400, both were great wee bikes, the cg125 is a single cylinder 4 stroke, basically bullet proof, not much load ability but around 80mpg standard! The 400 gave more speed and pulling power obviously more expe...

Kella Munro + Belay jackets - review.
First the Keela Munro jacket - Around £120 on amazon, bought 2 years ago and still going strong, the jacket is designed as a tough hardshell outdoor jacket, first thing I noticed was as an average sized guy the medium had loads of room! Don't size up as your normal size will fit. Features - Hood, ex...

Katadyn Pocket water filter - Review
A year or so ago I noticed a Katadyn Pocket on amazon for £80 - these usually retail around £200 so I frantically started to look at reviews! Some of the basics - 0.2 micron ceramic filter (this can be cleaned), the filter is designed to last around 50000 liters which is far above and beyond most ot...

Re: Handcuffs in your preps
Finally the rigid cuffs are designed/intended to cause pain which then leads to compliance as far as I know Not quite. They're designed to stop the person cuffed from strangling you as, if used properly, its not physically possible. Front stack method is the best. http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/gmpol...

Re: Car Bad Weather Tips
Very true in regards to being blinded.
If you get stuck in snow, your car will be colder than outside if the engine is off, if the engine is on open a window, carbon monoxide is bad!

Re: Car Bad Weather Tips
From an emergency services personal point of view - fog lights can be a life saver in heavy rain etc other than just fog. Warning triangles are underrated. Dont think if you have a 4x4 you will not skid in ice or snow! If there are ambulance / police at a traffic accident please don't slow down to h...

Re: Firearms for defensive purposes? - A good link
Say we do relax the laws. As I mentioned earlier, what happens in serious riots like Northern Ireland and London, where there would be a high likelihood of rioters carrying guns? The riot police would have to be armed with guns, for a start, as they know that the general public has access to firear...
