Re: Electronic lock for storage area

Sounds good, i install bits like that.

Theres other possibilities for expansion with that also, you could wire in a contact sensor that sounds an alarm if the door is opened without the lock being used. Say if someone did force it open, have some sound bombs at ear level :D

Re: Family restrictions

I saw a video on a "london bar" that looks quite good. Very simple to put in and quite effective, basically stops the three tiny screws in the door frame flying out if someone applies horizontal force to it. Its quite a low profile design, its only since i saw the video on them iv started ...

I think it also very much depends on what happens and when...

Re: Family restrictions

Yeah id agree with you on that, desperate people do desperate things to survive.

Id like to think though that there would be enough decent people about to help out someone in need. Saying that though if you look about now theres not much of that going on when everything is normal

Re: Ring binders

Im thinking about getting a little one for my bag with a few bare basics in there. All the little things that are handy to know to make navigation, shelter, ID, and other little bits and pieces. All the stuff that would fall out of my brain if i were say tired and cold or had banged my head. Just ne...

Re: Cambs prepper

And thats how i stumbled on the prepping lifestyle after a cold night in the van due to snow

Re: Converting Family

I think i might use the impending microns of snow were apparently getting to stock up on bits, i think that will be looked upon in a good light. I think shes worried im going to make a foil hat (although that would stop an emp emptying my brain) I think il keep it to a level thats understandable to ...

Re: Converting Family

Yeah iv given that a go in the past, im a spark by day and told her about a few people who have been left without power for one day and its been chaos. So im guessing shes just putting it down to a paranoid mindset. It would be nice to be like that, i live in a 2nd floor flat though so it would be a...
