If I was in the situation I needed a reinforced metal gate I would clad the front with vertical tongue & groove strips to make it look like a basic, nothing to hide inside, wooden gate. That's a truly excellent idea, combines the security of a metal frame with the disguise of being a wooden gat...

When I bought my boat, the 2 1000ltr tanks were pretty full of diesel that must be going on 7/8 years old at least. Still seems fine (fired up the engines last weekend for the first time since buying it) and ran nigh-on smoke free after about 5mins. As for the temperature, I don't have any heating (...

I use propane for my water heater and cooker both of which are indoors, Seems to work OK for me so far. Then again, there are so many holes in my walls that its basically like being in a ventilated area anyway :D

I've always thought if I was lucky enough to live on a boat then I'd try and go down the Hydro route, would this be possible.? Thanks again for the welcome :) In terms of hydro power when moored, I'd imagine that would be possible if the area has enough water current to spin your turbine but defini...
