Re: Temu quality lighting and blades
I saw all the ‘Temu’ ads doing the rounds some time ago and decided to investigate it a bit as the prices seemed too good to be true - and guess what? They are! Basically the Temu app harvests your personal data and - it seems - sends it to servers in mainland China. Chances are the prices are SO ch...

Back once again!
Evening all, had some time away, was prepping for a lot of what could be described as the ‘standard’ things but woke up during the pandemic to discover my ex wanted a divorce. Not quite the situation I was expecting but the “prepper mindset” got me through! Anyway, all’s well that ends well, much up...

Re: Slime “Skabs”
For tent repair (or pretty much any other fabric), I'd recommend clear Tenacious Tape. https://www.kitshoponline.co.uk/image/data/dalesman/DA%20MN14.jpg http://getgooutdoors.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/tenacious-tape-repair1.jpg It makes no difference if its branded McNett or Gear Aid, its the s...

Slime “Skabs”
Hi all, just thought I’d make a quick comment about these.. I picked some up at Halfords for bike repair kit (https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-maintenance/bike-puncture-repair/skabs-bike-tube-peel-and-stick-patches) and they’re amazingly good for an easy puncture repair. Admittedly, they’re not...

Hong Kong special? I've seen a few custom jobs knocked up in a Kowloon or Hong Kong tailor's shop back room...!

Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.
Bought myself an air rifle to do some garden target shooting and get rid of a current plague of pigeons. Nothing special, just a Remington Express .177 but it will get me started. Also spent a couple of hours working on my Faraday box. The theory is sound so it's a good gamble I think. Remington ex...
