If they're going to lift you, they have to go through the spiel - you know, ''you have the right to remain silent'' etc etc. So wherever you are, there will be a solicitor at some point in the proceedings. Trick is not to fall for the ''it'll be ok if you tell us about it mate'' crap a lot of coppers come out with! Never, ever, ever speak to the police after arrest without a solicitor present. Don't even say ''blue'' if they ask you what colour the sky is.
