Was looking for an EDC pouch on Amazon...
...search was "every day carry" and this came up on the first page - Every Day Carry More my other half's idea of an EDC ;) I'm in the market for something along the lines of a Skinth that was posted here a few days ago. Anyone know of anything as neat and compact that's available in the UK?
Re: Torches
Ledco Lensor are quality but can be pricey. I got a couple of these for £13 a while ago from amazon, but they've gone up a fair bit since - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002R0LQD6/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 An impressive 42 hours of burn with one set of batteries and its supp...

Canned Cheese in Tesco
"Tropical Sun Tastee Cheese" Been on the lookout for some canned cheese for a while now and stumbled across some today in Tesco of all places in the Caribbean world foods section. I couldn't find it on Tesco's own site, but you can find it on a comparison website - http://www.mysupermarket...

Waterproof, solar powered, rugged laptop - $400
So probably £400 by the time it arrives here  Noticed this new laptop brand that's about to be released in North America on a news site earlier - http://solaptop.com/en/products/laptops/ Even if it is a bit low spec, you still get a laptop that can power itself and (with the usual tin-foil pro...

Re: Face masks to prevent illness
Other than looking a bit daft, I'm guessing that wearing a mask with a beard isn't going to be particularly effective (hard on face = poor contact = leaks round the sides?). For those of you who have bought this type of mask, is there anything about beards/facial hair mentioned on the packaging or i...

Re: Soylent
A wind up? Apparently not, people are actually consuming it! Personally I'll leave it up to others to do the testing as it does seem to fit the bill of snake oil.
Ever the optimist though I'll keep an eye on it all the same.

Soylent
Came across this article today about a supposed "complete" food supplement that the Yanks seem to be going nuts for call 'Soylent'. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/06/14/soylent_experiment/ Not sure I'd want to eat nothing but that every day, but its powdered so if stored right it might ...

Re: Additional Storage/Faraday Cage
Cheers for the link :) The top, sides and bottom are all screwed together (with a clever internal system so no leaks. The doors are presently attached to the rest of the unit with metal hinges and a top/middle/bottom locking mechanism. Could be improved, but that's one for another day when I have my...

Re: Motorcycles
My bike will be Plan A for getting out of London fast if the SHTF, assuming of course I can get home and to it before all hell breaks loose. It occurs to me that if things out on the street get desperate very quickly then desperate people do desperate things and it wouldn't be long before someone kn...
