Aquarium for water storage
Hi, I've recently moved into a new house and the previous owners have left a 150l tropical aquarium behind. I figure this will make a great water storage prep which won't attract any unwanted attention. I'm unsure as to what equipment I need to buy in order to make the water fit for consumption in a...

Re: The age old question
I've found a good start is to focus on the persons interests. My best friend is not interested in prepping but he's into fitness so I've convinced him to start coming to krav maga lessons with me. Next year hes going to start archery with me. My sister enjoys gardening so I sold her the idea of grow...

Re: Barricading / Home fortification.
The ideal house to defend would be one with a basement. You could build a bookcase door to hide its entrance and a more secure steel door behind it as a contingency. During a post shtf raid sit quietly in the basement with your preps and they would probably think the place was abandoned.

Re: Peddle Power
Seems like a good way to stay active while bugging in. If you solely interested in power production solar panels would consume a lot less time, i think you can get portable ones as well.

If the people threatening your security have a torch it may become more of a hindrance.

Re: Electric vehicles (and PV elec)
I once had a look at an electric vehicle, i renault i think. the problem with that was you had to rent the battery and they charged so much rent that it wasnt viable unless you did more miles than was practical in an electric vehicle.
would pv cells be able to charge it quick enough to be practical?

Re: Toilet paper substitute
I think some people have simply become too used to modern day hygiene standards. Gotta say I love the bidet idea! It would probably be fairly easy to make out of a few scavenged parts in a long term disaster. I may not buy the ass rags afterall.
